Swipe credit cards at the door with a USB swiper

We’ve tested this feature with these models, both of which support keyboard emulation and plug into the USB port on a computer:

  • MagTek 21040110
  • Deftun MSR90

But any similar USB swiper supporting keyboard emulation is likely to work.  Swipers seem to sell in the $20-60 range.

When you swipe, the name, credit card account number, and expiration date are filled in, and the first two lines of the address fields are filled in with dashes.

We still require that you enter the CVV code for security, but it saves you typing the name, credit card number, and expiration date.
